⁣Violeta strikes back to save her country; the men must consider what happens if one rescues someone who doesn't want saving.

⁣Olaf asking Jorundr questions about the location of Jomsborg. He learns that Freydis had a child. Olaf tells Jorundr that trade is his priority now and that Harekr is a threat. He tries to convince Jorundr that he is not a threat to Jomsborg; he promises to make him the new leader.
Freydis sees Olaf’s ships coming to Jomsborg. Freydis gathers her
people and tells them that she knows Olaf; she believes if they are to
survive, they need to remind him that there is still work to do for
God’s mission.

⁣Leif struggling in the water after heading down the waterfall in the boat. He reaches the surface. Harald searches for everyone and finds Mariam.
As Harald checks out his boat, he sees Pechenegs approaching. He tells
Mariam to hide while he introduces himself. They ask about his cargo and
then search the ship. Luckily, Mariam’s hiding place is good, as they
do not find her. The Pechenegs capture Harald to see how valuable he is.

⁣In Jomsborg, Freydis is found bleeding by another woman in the forest. Meanwhile, Harekr
and his men are aggressively looking for Freydis. But then, the woman
who found her tells Harekr she knows where she is. The young woman shows
Harekr the location.

⁣Freydis about to give birth. While in labour, she leaves the Temple,
shrugging off help from the women and the guards, refusing to allow any
of them to help. After towels are dropped off for her, she decides to go
it alone in the presence of the Gods. Eventually Freydis does give
birth, alone, and decides to name her child Harald.

⁣Harald and his travelers en route to deliver the cargo
to Constantinople. A low rumbling noise can be heard in the distance.
The ice is cracking, and then it stops. Kurya tells
them they do not have time to escape the ice thawing. He thinks they
should move off the river until the thawing passes, but Harald knows
they are only a day away from completing their journey and insists they
keep going.

⁣Leif waking up in a haze after taking opium the night before. His new friend, Mariam,
has looked after him. She tells him he nearly died outside in the snow.
Leif tries to explain himself, but he’s unable to. Leif takes an
interest in one of her books — he’s never seen one before. Mariam
reveals that she wrote it and was born in Aleppo; it’s been her life’s
desire to explore many places. Leif senses that she is sick as she keeps
coughing. Mariam tells Leif that she wishes to return to Constantinople
for better medicine (the place that Harald is traveling to), but it has not been destined for her.

⁣Over in Jomsborg, Freydis beams as she heads to shore to fulfill her
destiny. She receives a warm welcome from all, as she’s introduced to
the leaders of Jomsborg, Harekr and Gudrid. That same symbol from before
is there too in the temple, carved in a large rock. Freydis makes her
presence felt immediately and shows her skills in combat session.
Harekr encourages her to build her new Uppsala there in Jomsborg.
More refugees arrive in the morning, and Freydis watches as they’re all
told to hand over their weapons. It’s a precaution to make sure they
don’t rise against them and in fact, all these refugees are tasked with
heading off into the forest to live a “quiet life” but also help
Jomsborg. Although Freydis has her concerns, she’s encouraged to embrace
her destiny and crown Jomsborg the new Uppsala.

⁣Episode 1 of Season 2 opens with Leif entering Olaf’s encampment. He asks a dying man where Olaf is. The dying man tells him that Forkbeard
has taken Olaf. The episode then flits to Olaf imprisoned in a cage in a
traveling army. As Leif continues to track Olaf, it’s revealed that
he’s seeing the ghost of Liv.
Harald and Freydis are 200 miles
away from Kattegat. They are playful with each other as they hunt; their
romance has not waned but intensified. Harald wants to go to Kattegat
and demand the throne from Forkbeard, but Freydis is skeptical,
believing he should be frightened of Forkbeard. Freydis intends to stay
in the wilderness and raise a family, but Harald wants his children to
be rulers of Norway. Harald softens the conversation and tells Freydis
that he wants her to come with him.
While out in the wilderness, Freydis comes across a seer; she’s tired
of the vagueness of their prophecies, but then she has a feeling. She
returns to Harald and tells him she’s going to Kattegat with him.

⁣⁣Wracked with grief over Ellie's death, Rowan is out of control and
unfit to perform surgeries; her paranoia that someone is following her
is proven true; in New Orleans, Deirdre and her mysterious companion
Lasher work together to draw Rowan home.

⁣Ben leaps into Alexandra Tomkinson, a medical resident in a
Seattle hospital; as victims from a train crash pour into the ER,
Addison reveals Ben's complicated mission; he must go up against
hospital bosses to save lives and Alexandra's career.

⁣After a failed assassination attempt involving a bomber,
